We also educate and help individuals with finding evidence-based, personalised solutions for overcoming stress and burnout.

We create and offer practical solutions based on the most recent stress, burnout and wellbeing research.

David Thorpe

Director

David Thorpe (BPsych (Honours), MMgmt, MBus) founded Coolout after recognising the need for practical solutions to address stress and burnout that affects both workplaces and individuals. His commitment to this field emerged from his personal struggle with burnout and his firsthand observation of its detrimental impact on many lives and entire organisations.


Before venturing into the realm of psychological sciences, David built a successful career in the market research industry. This experience not only honed his analytical skills but also significantly shaped his human-centred approach to stress reduction and burnout management. He makes these vital subjects accessible by breaking them down into easily understandable and approachable steps. His methodology focuses on effective communication and engagement with various stakeholders, ranging from employees to top-tier management in organisations, and communities around individuals, to promote positive change.


He holds a Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours), Master of Management and Master of Business (Research), and has had the privilege of helping local and international organisations and individuals improve their wellbeing.
